Let me introduce the reasons behind Cumberland Close having its own Blog Pages. It is mid-March and we are going through a rather challenging start to our Spring Season. We are normally busy preparing for all our events and plans for 2024. Instead I find that our resources are being stretched in our bid to justify our needs and wants in keeping our address as it is. My head it full of What If’s and all Kipling’s Six Honest Serving Men. What is going to be the most difficult part: the Why’s, the Who’s the What’s, the When’s the Where’s or, as I suspect it may well be, the How’s. Only time will tell and, having lived long enough, I know how quickly Life can throw curve balls.

What is in a name change? Does it really matter what our street name is? What do we feel about the name of our street? And should anyone, including ourselves, be able to change it just because we associate it with events or people we disagree with? Who would be harmed from any change? And who will be footing the bill for the change? Should Cumberland Close (Kirriemuir) have a name change? All questions worth pondering over. And questions that I have used in the usual Blog Pages to introduce the Cumberland Close Blog Pages. Rather than me repeat my words here, you can read it by clicking on the button.
