DAY THIRTEEN 〰️

What a busy day! All admin tasks, apart from selecting some works, when I managed to locate them that is, for the Rattray Arts Festival next weekend. Yikes! The days are just flying by and I am not much more forward with new works I want for September than I was last week. My To Do List (TDL) has lots of actions on it and some (but not as much as I had hoped for) tasks done. I’ve had lots of meetings (only one was planned) and a few Gallery visitors; and people always take up time but that is the nature of the ‘day job’. I think I might need to start being a night-time artist because I sure as anything don’t have time to paint during the day at the moment.
I had a lovely family (young primary age children) on holiday visit the gallery today and spent a lot of time discussing art and the how, why, what etc of each piece. I discussed with them a couple of pieces from the ‘Repurposed Book Project’ and discovered that the man knew all about ‘Otzi’ the Alp Iceman so I showed them ‘Maria’ and ‘Otzi’ original prints I had made using the book and gel plate. What a coincidence!
Time presses on and I must make my way home. So glad the man from the West Wing is cooking dinner tonight!
