What Does An Artist Do All Day?
DAY FIFTEEN

DAY FIFTEEN 〰️
19/08/2022 07:43 – DAY FIFTEEN
Late to bed last night meant late start today. I dozed off watching some TV, as per usual. Only snoozed for about 45 minutes but it was enough to wake my brain up again. I decided to design a new logo for Ainetheon Arts as I feel the old one is old hat now. Not that I have used it really since opening the Coupar Angus Gallery. Time for a facelift. Botox the business. The re-branding should be done by the end of this year, ready to start 2023 re-vamped and re-organised. Here’s to new hats!
Bringing the feet back down to Earth, today I am itching to crack on with the large canvas I started yesterday. By large I mean jumbo, for me anyway. This canvas is 40 x 60 inches. Yes, that’s right 40x60 INCHES not centimetres which is more the sort of size I tend to do. I don’t think I am going to get much done on that today though as there is plenty of admin and studio work to do. And it is a Gallery Day – I open 10-4pm and I’ll be talking more about the art rather than creating it today. All part of being an artist with a gallery.
I will get some smaller works done today though. Or at least on the way to getting some smaller works finished. I hope to get the mount cutter out today and cut some mounts for the prints I did last week. I have some frames left out (rest are packed away) and think I might have enough to frame at least four. I have some of my Chirnside abstracts with a local framer and hope that these manage to get done by next weekend or at least by my Solo Show.
Time for my second cup of tea - Rooibos and proper tea leaves – then to crack on with the day.
